Pat Parker founded Spartan Tax & Accounting in 1978, naming the firm after his beloved Michigan State Spartans. What began in his family home grew over nearly half a century into a trusted tax and accounting firm serving thousands of clients nationwide. Despite that growth, Pat never lost sight of the firm’s roots—or the values that shaped it.

The success of Spartan Tax & Accounting is a testament to three generations of the Parker family—Linda, Tiffany, Brad, Isabelle, and Parker—who dedicated countless hours to building the business together. That deep sense of family extended to Pat’s clients as well. No matter how many people he served, Pat knew each one personally. He took pride in guiding individuals through the complexities of ever-changing tax laws and helping business owners grow and succeed.

This spirit of connection made Pat more than a trusted advisor; it made him a friend. He built Spartan Tax & Accounting entirely through referrals—the highest compliment in any profession and a reflection of the mutual respect he shared with every client.

Pat passed away on December 19, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. While Spartan Tax & Accounting will never be the same without him, the family values, integrity, and dedication to client service that Pat instilled remain at the heart of the firm and continue to guide its work in his memory.
